A NEW baggage policy will apply across Aer Lingus’ Regional Network from March 2026 and will give passengers more flexibility while travelling.
AER Lingus has announced that the extension to their 10kg carry-on baggage policy will be operated by Emerald Airlines from March 3, 2026.
Passengers who are travelling on regional routes to the UK, Europe and across Ireland will benefit from the existing baggage options currently available on Aer Lingus flights.
Customers booking Plus or Advantage fares with Aer Lingus or Aer Lingus Regional, will also be eligible for a free 10kg carry-on bag, while Saver fare passengers can either pay to bring the bag on board or check it into the hold for free.
All passengers may also bring a small personal item, such as a handbag or laptop bag, to store under the seat.
Aer Lingus’ 10kg carry-on baggage policy applies to bags that are 55cm in height, 40cm in width and 24 cm in depth
Susanne Carberry, Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer, said: “Our 10kg carry‑on baggage policy is all about giving customers greater choice, convenience, and flexibility.
“We know our customers value the assurance that this policy brings. In response to customer feedback, we’re now extending this policy across the Aer Lingus Regional network.
“Whether it’s a quick business trip or a longer break, our policy ensures all customers have the option to travel with a 10kg bag at no extra cost.”
