JET2 is gearing up for a record-breaking weekend from Belfast International Airport this year, as the 12th July holiday approaches.

From today Friday July 10 to Monday July 13, most Jet2 departures from Belfast International Airport will operate completely full, with thousands of Northern Irish holidaymakers jetting off to sunshine destinations over the bank holiday weekend.

Over the traditional ‘Twelfth Fortnight’ (from 10th – 24th July), the leading leisure airline and UK’s largest tour operator will carry more customers than ever from Belfast International Airport, as people make the most of the Northern Ireland bank holiday to kick-start their summer holidays in style.

This summer is a bumper one from Belfast international for Jet2, with 23 sunshine destinations on sale across Europe, the Mediterranean and Canary Islands from its Northern Ireland base – with up to 55 flights departing from Belfast International Airport every week.

The most popular hotspots for Northern Ireland holidaymakers this summer are Tenerife, Majorca and Alicante – with other destinations including Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Malaga, Menorca, Malta, Antalya, Bergen, Reykjavik, Reus, Dalaman, Verona, Crete (Heraklion), Rhodes, Zante, Faro, Madeira, Dubrovnik and Paphos also proving to be a hit.

Customers booking and travelling with Jet2 this summer can enjoy the company’s industry-leading customer service.

Earlier this week, Jet2 was named among the very best companies for customer service in the latest July 2026 UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI), published by The Institute of Customer Service.

Jet2holidays was ranked fourth out of more than 200 major brands and organisations for delivering outstanding customer service – the highest rated tour operator in the study, retaining its position as the ‘Best in Tourism’. Jet2.com came in at 14th in the list – the highest ranked airline and the only company from the ‘transport’ sector to be ranked in the top 20.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, said: “With the summer holidays in full swing in Northern Ireland, we are pleased to see a very busy weekend with almost every single flight full of happy holidaymakers jetting off to the sunshine from Belfast International Airport.

“This is the perfect start to summer, and our Red Team will be there to deliver our industry-leading customer, as we roll out our biggest ever summer programme of flights and holidays from Belfast.  We are excited to welcome everyone onboard and showcase our award-winning customer experience as usual.”
