EMIRATES airline has launched a new Comprehensive Travel Cover product for customers travelling from Ireland, becoming the first airline to offer an enhanced travel insurance solution that includes conflict-related medical expense cover, disruption support and complimentary rebooking options.
Available to customers travelling from selected Emirates markets around the world, including those travelling from Dublin, the new insurance product has been developed in partnership with Travel Guard and is designed to provide travellers with greater confidence and peace of mind when planning international journeys.
The new cover includes trip cancellation protection, compensation for baggage delay or loss, unlimited medical expenses and emergency evacuation cover worldwide, alongside newly introduced conflict-related protection. Customers can claim reimbursement for medical expenses of up to US$25,000 related to conflict incidents and benefit from a complimentary trip extension of up to 30 days where required.
In addition to the insurance benefits, Emirates will provide airline-managed hotel accommodation and support during certain travel disruptions, including airspace closures. Where Emirates services are unavailable or itineraries involve onward travel on another airline, customers may also be rebooked to their destination at no additional cost in the event of conflict-related flight cancellations.
The cover is available regardless of government travel advice and can be purchased when booking flights through emirates.com or added to an existing booking through the airline’s Manage Booking portal.

Emirates Comprehensive Travel Cover is available from today and can be purchased by customers travelling from Ireland as part of their Emirates booking.
