SET sail with Stena Line this September and savour, explore and enjoy an unforgettable oyster festival adventure in Scotland.
Situated on the shores of Loch Ryan, Stranraer Oyster Festival is a three-day celebration of food, music, makers and one remarkable Scottish treasure: the country’s last remaining native wild oyster bed.
Created by the local community to celebrate Stranraer’s unique oyster heritage, the festival brings together chef demos, artisan producers, live music, the Scotland Shucking Championships and a huge oyster bar piled high with fresh native oysters.
This year’s programme is bigger than ever, with Hollywood star Sam Heughan appearing on Sunday, alongside festival favourites including Matt Tebbutt, Rosemary Shrager and Tony Singh, who are back after falling for the festival’s unmistakable charm in 2025.
The entertainment marquee will be buzzing with live music performances, while local food and drink vendors will add even more flavour to the festivities.
Stena Line is running two day-trips – on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 – priced at only £40 per person. Hop on board the 7:30am sailing from Belfast to Cairnryan and let the adventures begin.
Return coach transfers from Cairnryan to Stranraer are also included.
The price also includes an entry ticket for the Stranraer Oyster Festival site* and a £5 off shopping voucher when you spend £30 or more in the onboard shop.
The day trip to Stranraer Oyster Festival is now open for bookings at: stenaline.co.uk/oyster-festival. For full information on the festival programme, please visit: stranraeroysterfestival.com
