FOLLOWING the recent news that the EU’s ban on carrying liquids over 100 millilitres was being lifted, all three Northern Ireland airports have confirmed that the high-tech scanners capable of screening up to 2 litres of liquids have been rolled out.
Passengers can now carry up to two litres of liquids, gels and pastes in their cabin baggage while travelling through Belfast City Airport, Belfast International Airport and City of Derry Airport.
A spokesperson for Belfast International Airport confirmed: “Passengers can carry up to two litres of liquids through their hand luggage as advised on the website.
“These regulations speed up the security process and improve passenger experience at the Airport. It is important that passengers continue to be aware of the guidelines at their return airport as not all will be moving away from 100ml limit at this time.”
